We hope you’ve had a good month so far. As we continue the theme for this month, we’d like to go through some more scriptures on how we can Do good to others.
The bible says in Philippians 2:3-4(NLT) : “Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. 4 Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.” In other words, don’t be selfish or try to impress others. As a christian, you have to have the same attitude that Jesus Christ had. Be concerned about the cause of others. Selfishness is being concerned exclusively with oneself. Selfishness is seeking one’s own advantage, before everyone else’s. Even those that are really in need. The more desperate our circumstances are, the more selfish we are likely to become. However, God’s nature gives us the capacity to be selfless and humble towards everyone else.
We need to learn, amid challenging circumstances, to prioritize other people. That’s how Christ went about it; He did good to others, not himself. The bible says in James 3:16; that “those who come to the father must worship Him in spirit and in truth.” In the midst of our worship, we can ask the holy spirit to help us be kind to others. A kind gesture can go a long way at a time like this. Give to charity, share knowledge with your peers, continue to share the gospel with other people.
Our world gets better when we learn to prioritize other people. In the midst of all that is going on in our world today, let’s prioritize being kind to others. Take the focus off of yourself and be a solution provider in every place you find yourself. You can Pray for someone to get their healing, to be loving, to enjoy the grace of God. The bible says in Matthew 6:33, “Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
A lot of us have gone out of our way to extend love to others. We’d like to appreciate you for all that you do.
We pray that God will give us the strength and wisdom to act like Jesus and continue to do good.
