The scripture says Love your neighbour as yourself. This scripture has been quoted in every place I can think of. I mean school, nursery, TV, debates, conferences, political circles, advert campaigns and so on. You kind of forget it’s actually a saying by Jesus Christ himself. This quote is just as relevant as it was over 2000 years ago.
The true measure of love is giving! You cannot give what you do not have. If you don’t love yourself you can not give love to others. It’s that simple. Christ knew this better than anyone else. He gave everything to prove he loved us so much. He gave it ALL. Everytime we say we love someone or something, analyse how much time you give to it?, how much focus are you giving to it? Are you spending time on it? Are you giving time to it? Will you share everything with it? Let’s go further, are you willing to give to it with no ‘returns’? Are you responsible for it ?
Loving is giving my friend. Loving is taking responsibility. Take responsibility today and love yourself and you will have plenty more to give others.
