Marriage. God’s Position in Your Marriage.

How has your week been? We hope it’s been great. We’d like to focus on a few more scriptures regarding the theme for this month, “marriage”. We’ve titled this message, “Trusting God for who to marry”. The bible says in Proverbs 3:5-6: :”Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will show you which path to take. Have absolute dependence on God.”

Psalm 102:13 says, “You will arise and have mercy on zion. The set time to favor her has come.” The first step when it comes to trusting God for who to marry is to let go of the outcome as well as control of the outcome. It’s good to have goals, and visions of the future. We miss it sometimes when we try to control the outcome. God has to be part of the equation. Make sure you are lining up with God’s plans and purposes. A good question would be “why do you want to get married?”

God did say in Genesis that it is not good for man to be alone. Our need for God’s intervention as humans is in relationships; our most significant complications and flaws show in the area of relationships. Leave the process to God. It is good to have an expectation but leave the approach to God. Be open and let go of prejudices. Prayerfully define the quality you desire but be flexible enough to allow the holy spirit to work out the process.

We pray that God will give us His peace throughout this season, and help us to make wise choices when choosing our future spouse.
