Experience God’s Presence Daily How have you been? We trust that October has been a great month for us so far. As we continue the series for this month – “The Presence of God”, we’d like to focus on ways in which God’s presence can be felt or encountered. God is often described as Omnipresent (which means He has the ability to be present everywhere at the same time). That’s an interesting fact to think about because no one else on earth has the ability to do that. This further establishes the fact that God’s presence can be felt everywhere. God’s presence was with the Hebrew teenagers; Daniel, Shadrach, Mishack and Abednego when they were captured from Judah and raised in Babylon. God’s presence was also with Daniel when he was thrown into the lion’s den for praying to God despite the king’s decree that for thirty days no prayers should be addressed to any god or man but Darius himself. God doesn’t use our circumstances to judge who can or cannot be in His presence, whether it be a physical church or a gathering. The bible says in Hebrew 4:16 “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” How to experience God’s Presence Daily Prayer – prayer is defined as communicating with God. The greatest part about communicating with God is that He is always available to listen to us. The more time we spend communicating with God, the more we get to feel His presence wherever we are. However, we mustn’t forget that prayer is a two-way street. We have to be quiet and ready to receive whatever he has for us. This also means listening not just talking and taking notes when you pray. Be prepared to hear God speak!
Philippians 4:6-7 says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Reading the word of God – Reading the word of God helps us to understand Him better and confirms His thoughts regarding our lives. “In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God.” (John 1:1). Moreover, a simple word or passage can be enough to help us start and get through our day. The bible says in Matthew 4:4 “Man Shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” It also says in 2 Timothy 3:16-17, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (NKJV). Rely on a word from God’s word daily. Keep that word in your heart throughout the day or the week, or even month. Fellowship – Fellowship is simply communing with other believers. Being with other believers is a great thing because it helps to strengthen our individual walk with Christ. It’s a time to discuss and share thoughts and ideas on certain passages of scripture. It’s also a good way to gain godly friends, encouragers, prayer partners and accountability partners. We pray that God will continue to strengthen us and help us remember that He is always with us. Please feel free to share any testimony you may have with us. We are passionate about hearing what God is doing in your life
