I hope we’re all having a good month! We are so grateful to God for keeping us and sustaining us throughout this season. Continuing our series on “Trusting God for your finances”, we’d like to focus on the ways in which we can live worry-free lives with regard to our finances.
Decision No 2: Not letting the presence or absence of money control your peace or joy. Rather, focus on the shepherd. Psalm 23:1 says, “the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.” Worry is proof we’ve taken our eyes off the Shepherd. If sheep knew the way, they would not need a shepherd. Therefore, complete trust in God is one of the ways we can live worry-free lives with regard to our finances.”
Money is simply a means for an exchange of value. If value goes from you, it will surely go back to you. Be willing to develop skills in order to add value to others. Center your thinking on the finished work of Christ. Make sure you get direction from God. The bible holds a lot of secrets regarding ways in which we can earn and multiply your income. Abraham, for instance, was a businessman, and Isaac was an entrepreneur.
As iterated in the previous newsletters, Philippians 4:6-7 (NLT) says, “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything.” Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
Let go and Let God take care of you. Don’t be so preoccupied with getting that you miss what God is giving. Any label that does not align with God’s promises over you isn’t for you.
1 Peter 5:7 says “Cast all your cares upon him because he cares for us”. (NIV)
Remember that the bible says: God cares for wildflowers, and he cares more for me. I give him all my worries right now. I have none left. This is my best week so far. (Matthew 6:30 NLT).
In summary;
Don’t value money over God
Don’t let the presence or absence of money control your peace or Joy.
Study the word of God to gain financial skills.
We pray that God will help us remember that God is the ultimate source of all our wealth and that He is the rewarder of those who diligently seek him. We also pray that He will inspire us with new ideas for growth and expansion, not only financially, but in all areas of life. If you have any testimonies or concerns that you’d like to share with us, please do not hesitate to do so. Thank you, and be blessed.
