Hey Friends,
I hope we are all enjoying this awesome month! Continuing on our series for the month, we’d like to highlight a few scriptures on how we can become extraordinary through prayer. Psalm 91 says, “He who dwells in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the almighty. I will say of the Lord, he is my refuge and my fortress, my God in him I will trust.” Hebrews 4:16 says, “let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”
The bible also says in Isaiah 40: 30-31 (NLT) says “even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall into exhaustion. But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. There is a connection between prayer and power. Prayer shows that you are dependent on God and that you are not limited by human effort alone.”
In 1 Kings 18:41- 46 (NLT), Elijah prayed for rain.
Then Elijah said to Ahab, “Go get something to eat and drink, for I hear a mighty rainstorm coming! ”So Ahab went to eat and drink. But Elijah climbed to the top of Mount Carmel and bowed low to the ground and prayed with his face between his knees. Then he said to his servant, “Go and look out toward the sea.”
The servant went and looked, then returned to Elijah and said, “I didn’t see anything.”
Seven times Elijah told him to go and look. Finally the seventh time, his servant told him, “I saw a little cloud about the size of a man’s hand rising from the sea.”
Then Elijah shouted, “Hurry to Ahab and tell him, ‘Climb into your chariot and go back home. If you don’t hurry, the rain will stop you!’”
And soon the sky was black with clouds. A heavy wind brought a terrific rainstorm, and Ahab left quickly for Jezreel. Then the Lord gave special strength to Elijah. He tucked his cloak into his belt and ran ahead of Ahab’s chariot all the way to the entrance of Jezreel.
This was a prayer to move spiritual realities into physical manifestation. Think of how a printer works. It superimposes a new reality on paper. It takes power.
In the same way, we can impose a new reality by the power of the Holy Spirit. We channel that power through prayer.
The bible says in James 5:17-19, “Elijah was a man with a nature like ours [with the same physical, mental, and spiritual limitations and shortcomings], and he prayed [d]intensely for it not to rain, and it did not rain on the earth for three years and six months. Then he prayed again, and the sky gave rain and the land produced its crops [as usual].
My brothers and sisters, if anyone among you strays from the truth and falls into error and [another] one turns him back [to God], let the [latter] one know that the one who has turned

My brothers and sisters, if anyone among you strays from the truth and falls into error and [another] one turns him back [to God], let the [latter] one know that the one who has turned a sinner from the error of his way will save that one’s soul from death and cover a multitude of sins [that is, obtain the pardon of the many sins committed by the one who has been restored].
Every obstacle holding you back from having a vibrant prayer life is destroyed in Jesus name. Jesus said in His word that I will not leave you helpless, “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever.” (Christian Standard Version).
We pray that God will give us the ability to remember His promises towards us, and that nothing is impossible to him that believes.
