Welcome to the month of April! We hope you’ve enjoyed the year so far. We are grateful for the privilege of making it this far in the year 2022. The theme for this month is “Trust”. 2 Corinthians 10:4, “ For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds”. The bible says in Ephesians 2:6: “And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.” Obedience according to the dictionary is submissive to the restraint or command of authority. Obedience in God comes from trust in God. Disobedience/distrust in God can lead to unused potential, unnecessary stress, activity without direction. A mind that does not trust God is a Mindset that creates inflexibility and limits our capacity to dream.
There’s a gospel hymn that goes…”Trust and Obey, for there is no other way, to be happy in Jesus but to trust and obey.” I believe there’s a lot of truth to it because there is a void in us that only God can fill. That’s why we start our day with the word, so that we are fully equipped to deal with the obstacles that may try to discourage us during the day. We were called to do more than just get by…we’ve been called to thrive. We pray that God will give us the courage to obey his word even when it is not convenient. Abraham’s obedience to God led to multiple blessings, which we as believers still reap till this day. The most valuable things in life are the things that are intangible such as family, community, and social belonging. The great thing for us christians is that we are one in the body of Christ wherever we are on the globe. Wealth can be lost instantly through a number of variations but real relationships can last for a lifetime.
Many are driven by approval from man. However, it is God’s approval that determines the course of our lives. Trust in God can help us to handle peer pressure, and always being driven by what others might think. Being controlled by others is a way that
We believe that our heavenly father is turning things around for our good. In whatever area we are trusting God, be it career wise, our finances, our personal lives, we speak healing and favor and divine grace to carry on with our daily lives. God never promised an easy road but said if we put all our trust in him, He will send his holy spirit to guide us. Disobedience/distrust in God can lead to unused potential, unnecessary stress, activity without direction.
God can turn around any situation. We strongly believe that in any area we have been laid down and have become downcasted, in any situation we have been disappointed beyond measure, we speak healing in the mighty name of Jesus. We pray that God will give us the grace to forgive and put him first in all that we do.
Heavenly father, we confess that we don’t know everything. You created the entire world in six days. There are so many things that are unexplainable to the human mind but we are glad that we can always ask of you as we delve into the scripture. In any areas where we require discipline, focus, strength, patience, favor, protection from shame, we pray that you will come to our rescue. In ways we have been judged unfairly, we pray that your grace will be sufficient.
